| How do I request an absentee ballot? |
Request an absentee ballot by contacting your town clerkâs office prior to the date of
Election Day. You may send a written request or request a ballot over the telephone. For a ballot request form, download the document available here. |

| What is the deadline for requesting an absentee ballot? |
The deadline is 5:00 pm the day prior to Election Day, if the town clerk is open on that day: March 4 for the Primary Election November 4 for the General Election |
| What is the voting procedure? |
There are no witnesses required when voting by absentee ballot. Make sure to sign the
outside of the envelope. |
| What are the deadlines for voting absentee? |
Absentee ballots must be received by closing on Election Day: Primary Election: March 4 General Election: November 4 |
| What are the election dates and deadlines for 2008? |
By-mail voter registration must be received by noon on the second Saturday prior to
Election Day: Primary Election: February 23 General Election: October 25 |

| Is permanent absentee status available? |
No. However, you can only simultaneously request absentee ballots for the Statewide Primary and
the General Election if the mail-to address is the same. |
