How do I request an absentee ballot?

What is the deadline for requesting an absentee ballot?

 Applications for an absentee ballot must be received by the department county board at elections no earlier than 50 days before Election Day and no later than 7 days before Election Day:
January 29 for the Primary Election
October 28 for the General Election

It is strongly suggested that you secure, complete and return your absentee ballot application as soon as possible. This will provide sufficient mailing time for us to receive and process your application, mail your ballot, and allow you to vote and return your ballot by the deadline.
What is the voting procedure?

 Vote the absentee ballot and return by mail.
What are the deadlines for voting absentee?

 All voted Absentee Ballots must be received in the office of the Elections Division no later than 5:00 pm on the Friday prior to Election Day:
April 18 for the Primary Election
October 31 for the General Election
What are the election dates and deadlines for 2008?

 Primary Election: April 22
General Election: November 4
Voter registration closes 30 days prior to Election Day.
