| How do I request an absentee ballot? |
All elections in Oregon are Vote by Mail. You must mail or fax a letter to your county elections office (see below) including your name, Oregon residence address, address to which you want the ballot sent, and your signature. Contact your County Elections Office for more information. |

| What is the deadline for requesting an absentee ballot? |
There is no official deadline, but keep in mind that your request must be processed, your ballot must
be sent to you, and returned to the county elections office by Election Day, so make sure to request
your ballot several weeks before Election Day. Applications for absentee ballots are made available 45
days before an election. |
| What is the voting procedure? |
Simply fill out the ballot and return it to your county elections office in the envelope provided. |
| What are the deadlines for voting absentee? |
Your ballot must be received at the county elections office no later than 8:00 pm on
Election Day: General Election: November 4 Postmarks do not count. |
| What are the election dates and deadlines for 2008? |
General Election: November 4 Voter registration closes 21 days prior to Election Day. |
