Requests must be sent to the county board of elections, which can be found here. |
| What is the deadline for requesting an absentee ballot? |
Application must be mailed no later than the 7th day before Election Day (October 28), or delivered
by hand no later than the day before Election Day. |
| What is the voting procedure? |
Apply for an absentee ballot by filling out an application form and returning it to the county board of
elections. Once the ballot is mailed to you, fill it out completely and return it. |
| What are the deadlines for voting absentee? |
Ballot must delivered to the county board of elections no later than when the polls close on Election
Day, or postmarked no later than the day before Election Day and received no later than the 7th day
after Election Day. |
| What are the election dates and deadlines for 2008? |

If you cannot pick up your ballot and will not be able to receive it through the mail, you have the
right to designate someone to pick it up for you. Only that person designated on your application
may pick up and deliver your ballot. |
