The request is sent to the county clerk of the county where the voter is registered.

| What is the deadline for requesting an absentee ballot? |
The county clerk must receive the application no later than 5 PM on: October 31 for the General Election The county clerk is required by law to respond to your request, either with a ballot or an explanation of refusal, within 24 hours. Ballots become available 28 days prior to an election. You may also vote absentee in person for the General Election from October 15 – November 1 in the county clerk’s office. |
