| What is the deadline for requesting an absentee ballot? |
Requests must be received on later than the Tuesday prior to Election Day. You can begin making requests 50 days prior to Election Day. General: October 28. |
| What are the deadlines for voting absentee? |
The ballot must be received in the County Board of Elections Office by 5:00 pm on the day before
Election Day: November 3 for the General Election |
| What are the election dates and deadlines for 2008? |
General Election: November 4 By-mail voter registration must be postmarked by 25 days prior to Election Day for the voter to be eligible for that election. |

Special Postage Notice for Mail-In Absentee Ballots: Some counties use ballot return envelops that do not qualify for standard letter rates. The postage on these envelops cost at least $0.83. Check with your post office before mailing your absentee ballot. |
